Fastest route: email contact@joinmote.app and a human will get back to you. Include your device model and what you expected to happen — the Mote can't read minds, only calendars.

nudges aren’t showing up

Three things fix this 95% of the time:

the tone is too sharp (or not sharp enough)

Change the default in Settings, or override it per person from their detail screen — “Mote’s tone for them.” Grandpa can get gentle reminders while your college roommate gets the full treatment.

I logged a check-in by accident

Tap Undo on the toast that appears right after. If it’s already gone, open the person’s detail screen and adjust their recent check-ins there.

can I back up or transfer my data?

Not currently. Everything lives on your device by design (see theprivacy policy), which means there’s no cloud copy to restore from — uninstalling the app or switching phones starts you fresh. If an export feature matters to you, tell us at contact@joinmote.app.

how do I delete everything?

Settings → “Start fresh (clear everything)”, or just uninstall the app. Both remove every person and check-in permanently. The Mote will miss judging you.
